【猴子捞月英文版(1页)】Once upon a time, in a quiet village surrounded by tall trees and a peaceful river, there lived a group of monkeys. One evening, as the sun set behind the hills, the sky turned dark and a bright full moon appeared above the water.
The monkeys gathered near the riverbank, looking up at the glowing moon. One of them, curious and adventurous, pointed at the reflection of the moon in the water and said, “Look! There’s a moon in the river!”
The other monkeys looked down and saw the same image. They were amazed and excited. “We must get it!” they cried. “It’s so shiny and big!”
So, the monkeys decided to work together to bring the moon from the water. They climbed down the trees and formed a long line, each one standing on the back of the one before him, trying to reach the moon's reflection.
But no matter how high they reached, the moon seemed to stay just out of their grasp. The more they tried, the more frustrated they became. Finally, one wise old monkey spoke up. “Why are we trying to take the moon from the water? It is not real. It is only a reflection.”
The other monkeys stopped and looked again. They realized that what they had seen was just an image, not the real moon in the sky. They laughed at themselves for being so silly and went back to their tree.
From that day on, they learned an important lesson: sometimes what we see is not what it seems. And it’s better to think before acting.
The End.
